- The European Parliament adopted by 493 votes to 104, with 45 abstentions, a legislative resolution on the draft Council decision relating to the conclusion, on behalf of the Union, of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPA) between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, of the other part.Parliament gave its consent to the conclusion of the agreement.The agreement represents an important step towards increased political and economic engagement by the Union in Central Asia.
